Wired Magazine publishes a jargon watch each month, little bon mots that crop up in the lexicon of human language. The February issue introduces us to the word “bloomers.”

Late-blooming baby boomers. The term is used by marketers - especially those who sell travel and luxury goods - to describe a demographic group that’s only now realizing how much money it has available to spend prior to senility and end of life.
