It’s an oldy but goody as they saying goes, although in this case, they may be referring to the company Good Vibrations (and we are NOT talking about a Beach Boys’ song here).
Having your mum stay overnight is always a treat. She gets to nitpick your life while she roams around your kitchen, which, these days, is used for anything BUT cooking. I mean, really, who has the time or energy to actually cook a prepared meal anymore, let alone fire up some candles to enjoy it by.
This whole trend of husbands cooking instead of their wives must have started with the movie, The Postman Always Rings Twice. Remember how Jessica Lange clears off that kitchen table to make way for the appetizers and eventual main entre? Well grab a seat at the kitchen table, ’cause grandma’s whipping up some pancakes that’ll make your mouth vibrate with enjoyment!
