With the way America is falling off the globalization planet, maybe now would be a good time to reconsider where you plan to retire. Forget Florida, too damn many hurricanes. Forget Arizona, not enough water.

Hey, how about retiring abroad to China, India or Vietnam! Since labor is so cheap, you know the cost of living has got be even cheaper. Time to bail on America, because who the frick wants to pay their share of the National Debt at the rate old Bushie boy is running it up.

Craigslist has just the companion you’ve been looking for. She’s 5-foot, 2-inch, a college grad, she weighs 135 pounds, and she’s an honest Abe 51-years-old. She’s a pragmatist, though, so all you new age touchy feely huggers need not apply.

Which gives us a hippie right to toss out some Five Man Electrical Band Signs’ lyrics (Dick Cheney’s favorite part):

Considering Overseas Retirement? - 51

I am considering relocating to less expensive place where I can enjoy my retirement now instead of staying in the rat race. I have enough for my own simple needs. I do not have the extra to provide for another or to live in style. I am seeking a kindred spirit for the endeavour. Race is not important, however, culturally, I relate better to those who have lived in the USA or other Western countries for some years.

My values are traditional but am not closed-minded about it. If you have similar goal, I am open to platonic friendship if we are not a romantic match. For sexual intimacy, monogamy & solid friendship are expected. I will spend a year or two here finding a suitable partner to develop a relationship locally and travel together a bit before the relocation.

I have travel a great deal I love the Indian Himalayas best. I am open to other suggestions as to destination. Ideally I like someone with a Eastern spiritual interest (yoga, meditation, taiji, qigong) and had travel to India/Nepal before. I am pragmatic - we are not a match if you live in some new age fantasy.
