The magician David Blaine is set to perform another publicity stunt under the guise of magic. The act is called Drowned Alive. If you’re in New York City near Lincoln Center Plaza, be sure to stop by in the next week and check him out. On the 7th day, he will attempt to break the record for holding his breath 9 minutes.
This kind of breath holding is also known as static apnea. The rules stipulate that the breath holder must float face down in a pool while holding their breath. According to Impulse Adventure, the world record is held by Tom Sietas of Germany who stayed under for 8 minutes, 58 seconds set on December 12, 2004!
This poster commemorates David’s latest endurance challenge, Drowned Alive, where he will attempt to hold his breath underwater longer than the record of 8 minutes, 58 seconds. This poster maintains the highest quality standards set forth by its predecessors using the finest quality inks, digitally offset on heavy window card stock, with a special durable matte finish.
