on May 23rd, 2006Love Scam with a Noble Heart (Is that a bomb ticking in your chest?)

Love scams are the worst. Not only do they take advantage of a trusted feeling, they destroy whatever faith you might have had in following your heart’s desire. You gotta love a lothario who has no shame in selecting a nom de plume (Charles Decrevecoeur) that absolutely wreaks of dishonesty. But the heart wants what it can’t have so it was only a matter of time before the alleged lover found a willing supplicant for his charming bullshit.

Beware, ladies, love is not a drug, it’s a key to your bank account.

A Long Beach woman who contends that she is his latest victim has accused Decrevecoeur of posing as a Long Beach firefighter as he continues his romantic ways. She says she has gone to court to keep him at bay and gone public to “prevent other women from going through what I’m going through.”
