Remember that sexy Super Bowl ad for the Cadillac Escalade? I guess the commercial worked a little too well, because now every car thief in America has their eye and itchy hands on the Escalade. If you hate paying high car insurance premiums, you may want to think twice about buying a Cadillac Escalade, unless of course, the company offers to throw in a premium cap rider.
Escalades had the highest rate of insurance theft claims for the fourth straight year, according to a study released Wednesday by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Escalade was followed by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab pickup.
