The Age 55+ Employment Resource Center helps older workers find jobs. The Center also finds training for older job seekers who need to upgrade their job skills. Each year, more than 400 Employment Resource Center clients receive job placements. Services are free to both job seekers and employers.

Services for the Age 55+ Job Seeker include:

* Employer outreach
* Training resources, including computer classes
* Computer access for resume writing and Internet research
* Individual job coaching
* Monthly employment workshops
* Job listings
* A 24-hour telephone jobline

The Employment Resource Center provides support for the older worker. One-on-one job counseling is providing by a peer counselor — someone who has “been there” and understands.

Businesses throughout Seattle and King County can recruit employees through the Age 55+ Employment Resource Center.
