Celebrating Your 100th Birthday
Inside: It’s time for one hundred good wishes, it’s time to salute you because… the world has been blessed with ten decades of you – so sit back and enjoy the applause! Congratulations on 100 Wonderful Years.
The 100th birthday is especially important in recent times, because a celebrant marks two milestones – living for a century and living in two different millenniums. The 100th birthday is beginning to be seen as an attainable goal by many Americans as medical science, better living conditions, and more knowledge about fitness and health increase the possibility of living to be 100. Today, more than 70,000 Americans are 100 years old, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, and that number will grow dramatically during the next century.
Hallmark offers three 100th birthday card designs. (100th birthday cards were published in 1986, ‘88, ‘89 and ‘90 and then yearly.) Hallmark expects to sell about 85,000 100th birthday cards a year through the end of the decade.
