When you’re twenty-five, you can pretty much live anywhere - a car, the beach, even on a train between cities as you tramp your way across Europe. As you get older, though, and the body parts stop working according to the manufacturer’s specs, you discover that living ain’t so easy anymore. In fact, it might require specialized bath safety rails, scooters, lift chairs, or health monitors.

Lastly, your home, your palace, may have to be retrofitted with wheelchair ramps, wide doors and single level living. This all goes by the name of Universal Design. Get ready for the future, because the days of living in a tent and making love all night are long over…unless, of course, you never stopped being a hippie and the sexual revolution in your pants dies hard every night as you cork off to the ladies demonstrating the exercise equipment at three in the morning.
