The sexual drive of women over 55 is apparently a problem for men aged 55. Men want sex, women over 55 are more likely to want friendship aka companionship. The link between fertility and sex is the prime reason men cheat, especially older men. I have no facts to back up that hypothesis, but it’s pretty clear that aging does a number on men. Having sex with a woman no longer of child rearing age suddenly makes you realize your toast in the reproduction business. If sex is about reproduction, and there is no reproduction, and sex is about sex, then suddenly the younger sex looks more appealing because the FEELING associated with fertility and sex is all about your legacy living on in the future. Even if a man already has kids, the loss of the fertility part of the equation is disorienting and scary.
But hey, for women, it’s a different problem…
