on Sep 3rd, 2007Tangled Family Webs Snag Parents After Divorce

Parents of latch-key kids are discovering those lost years have a price: divorce. Broken or detached relationships set up a lifelong pattern of miscommunication and endless bouts of relationship fury that ultimately end in two people simultaneously declaring: “I want a divorce!”

The parents of these kids are hardly innocent bystanders, though, especially when there are grandkids involved. Grandparents who want to see their grandchildren find themselves going to extraordinary lengths to maintain the marriage before finally capitulating… with the cross-your-fingers, please lordy, let me still be involved in their lives wail of “where did I go wrong.”

It’s a weeper for sure. Remember: the pain tolls for those who never rang the dinner bell.
