on Sep 7th, 2007Cleve Dixon Racks Up 11 Kids Who Reproduce 100 More

Ask any kid from a very large family how much of their parents’ attention they received growing up and you’re likely to get a frown. Birth order researchers tell us that every kid must discover a “strategy” for getting their parent’s attention. The problem: those kids who come first get first crack at the best strategies, like being good, getting above average grades, and helping around the house. Those who come later are forced to pick more risk-taking behaviors.

Cleve Dixon just celebrated his 101st birthday. He enjoyed the pleasure (we assume) of making 11 children. That pleasure must have carried over to the next generation because Cleve now has over 100 grandchildren. Gee, I wonder if Cleve was a teacher who was just trying to teach his family some simple lessons in math.
