There’s been a lot of talk lately about how Baby Boomers are migrating to big cities for retirement. The idea is simple: buy a condo, walk everywhere, and live in close proximity to culture. HelpAge India conducted a survey to find out just how welcoming Delhi India was to seniors. The results: not good. “The study says most elders feel socially marginalized due to increasing individualism. Most even feel unsafe to go out of their homes and prefer to remain locked up and watch television due to lack of social participation.”

I guess younger people think THEY will never get old and require a little more assistance or extra time to carry out their daily living activities. It’s like watching a dog limping across the street and seeing a teenager pull out a shotgun and kill it. When asked why he simply shot the dog you can imagine his reply: “To put it out of my misery.”
