on Nov 6th, 2007Medical Costs Increase Slower For Seniors Than Those Younger
It sounds good, doesn’t: the medical costs for seniors is increasing at a slower rate than for those poor suckers who are under 65. Gee, why is that? Our guess: The Bush administration has allowed the health care and insurance industry to shift the cost burden onto working stiffs who have no clue of how much more they will be paying out of pocket for everything now that corporations have expunged the notion of underwriting these bugaboo costs ever again.
The days of corporations using any portion of their income to benefit the underlings is over. The only personnel who get those kinds of perks are the upper management, regardless of how they perform. So don’t rejoice for more than a second thinking your future medical costs are losing inflation juice. Once the full Baby Boomer population retires, mark our words, the medical costs today for seniors will look like a blue light special in the future.
