When you climb over the sixty barrier, a funny thing happens: people start to treat you like a trophy on the shelf and for some reason like to add to your collection. Vacheron Constantin, the maker of expensive watches, threw a little party last night for legendary record producer Clive Davis for his outstanding achievements in music. As a gift, they gave him an all-platinum face watch that probably could feed a small town in Iowa. He deserves it though. The man’s ears have produced more hit singles than most baseball players.
