Hollywood studios are desperately making movies that might appeal to Baby Boomers because they have finally figured out that Baby Boomers grew up on watching movies, not the internet. Case in point: Columbia Studios just picked up writer Paul Fruchbom’s story, “Winter’s Discontent.”
The plot: “Herb Winter’s wife dies after 50 years of marriage, prompting the long-faithful but sexually frustrated widower to move into a retirement community with his best buddy so the two can start living the swinging single life.”
Now this is a movie we just might shell out ten bucks for…but just make sure it has a 60’s sexual liberation mentality. Forget censoring out the good parts. John Holmes lives, baby!
